Bill W. - Stepworkshop

This iconic photo of Bill Wilson gazing at Dr. Bob’s grave was taken by Mel B. on Founders Day in 1958. You can read the story behind it by clicking on the photo.

Mel B. is our special Speaker this coming Sunday, January 13th, 2013 at our weekly Step Workshop Meeting! Mel B. got sober on April 15, 1950 and is the foremost historian on Alcoholics Anonymous. His books include recovery classics such as  “New Wine: The Spiritual Roots of the 12 Step Miracle”, “Walk in Dry Places”, and “Ebby: The Man Who Sponsored Bill W. “

Tis the Season to Get Sober!

by 12 Steps Guide

Stepworkshop 2013

It’s that time of the year again…time to welcome new people into the Step Workshop meetings! Congratulations and a special welcome to all the new participants in the Step Workshop.  You are in for the Grand Adventure of your life! What a great way to start the New Year!

The Step Workshop is based on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and accepts members from all fellowships including NA, CA, Alanon, OA, SA, SLAA, GA, to name a few. We recognize that alcohol is but one symptom of our disease and that our disease changes just like we change.

When we enter recovery, many of us put down the bottle that has the label that says “Alcohol” or “Money” or “Food” and pick up another bottle with a different label on it.  Then we hit another bottom and find ourselves having to surrender and change our playmates, playgrounds, and playthings again and again. For some of us, the cycle becomes endless. Chasing something or someone: alcohol, drugs, relationships, work, money, sex, food, gambling, becomes a way of life for us. There is a way out. We have found it. And you can too.  It’s called working a Program of Recovery.

For anyone wishing to join, we are only accepting participants for the Sunday 11:00am EST Group. You may attend our Step Workshop meetings via Skype or by telephone.  You will need to register at the stepworkshop.com website, or go here to register.  When you register, please remember to type in your Skype name or telephone number and email address.  If you don’t type in your Skype name or telephone number then we have no way of calling you when the meeting begins. Our Skype name is “stepworkshop” (we try to keep everything real simple). Then send us a Contact Request on Skype, so we can call you when the Step Workshop meeting begins.

If you have any questions about Skype or the Step Workshop in general, you may email us directly: guides AT stepworkshop DOT COM.

In love and service,

12 Step Guides
