Step Two of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous
“Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.”
The Big Book Study by Joe and Charlie is the most popular AA 12 Step Series ever presented. Its origins date back to 1973 when Joe McQ and Charlie P met and discovered their mutual love for the AA Big Book. Joe and Charlie collaborated and created a series of talks based on their interpretation of the AA Big Book and the 12 Steps. Their Big Book Study presentation was recorded and ended up going viral becoming the most popular 12 Step Series in the recovery community.
This is the second of eight tapes in this 12 Step Series called Journey to Recovery from the Big Book Comes Alive that was recorded in August of 1998. In this tape, Joe and Charlie discuss the obsession of the mind, Bill’s story, Oxford Group history, and give an overview of the 12 Steps.
Remember, we need to perk our ears up and listen whenever we hear the key words or when Joe and Charlie talk about the principles of honesty and hope that we practice in the 1st and 2nd Steps. Click here to listen to Joe and Charlie talk about Steps One and Two.
